👎 The 3 reasons the Liberals lost
Here's my take on why the Morrison Government was consigned to the dustbin of history... and it's not climate change!

There’s lot of analysis as to why the Liberals lost the federal election.
The Green movement claims it was due a “lack of action” on the fake fear campaign of catastrophic man-made “climate change”.
The World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leader’s Forum alumni and Liberal Senator Andrew Bragg reckons it was too much engagement in the “culture wars”.
And former Nationals leader Michael McCormack thinks it was Barnaby Joyce.
They’re all wrong.
The answer is that the Liberals abandoned their key values. The political party’s official belief statement tell us that the Liberals believe:
In the inalienable rights and freedoms of all peoples; and we work towards a lean government that minimises interference in our daily lives; and maximises individual and private sector initiative
In government that nurtures and encourages its citizens through incentive, rather than putting limits on people through the punishing disincentives of burdensome taxes and the stifling structures of Labor's corporate state and bureaucratic red tape.
In those most basic freedoms of parliamentary democracy - the freedom of thought, worship, speech and association.
The past two years showed that belief statement to be a lie.
We only have to look at three key issues as proof:
1. The vaccine mandates:
The Liberals not only did nothing to stop vaccine mandates, vaccine passports and associated discrimination from being implemented by State governments but they enabled it. In the lead-up to the roll out of the COVID shots, the Liberals made it compulsory for immunisations to be registered to the Australian Immunisation Register. Without that, State governments — and everyone else — would have been blind to who was jabbed and who wasn’t.
2. The digital identity agenda:
The Liberals also drafted laws to implement a digital identity system in Australia. This would have resulted in an invasion of our privacy of the like never seen before in this country and could have paved the way for a programmable digital currency and a social credit system.
3. Green socialism:
A target of net zero emissions by 2050 was adopted by the Liberals after years of opposing such nonsense. Such a plan will result in widespread job losses in mining, manufacturing and transport (necessitating a socialist universal basic income system). It will also bring about greater control of the populace, greater taxation, rising cost of living but, at the same time, mega profits for multinational corporations who will have their snouts in the trough of subsidised renewables and mandated carbon trading.
Of course, there are many other issues that show how the Liberals betrayed their values: the lack of real action on religious freedom, the support for a Pandemic Treaty and not only the lack of action on Big Tech censorship but moves to have government force Big Tech to censor us even more!
The bad news is that none of this will get better under a socialist Labor-Greens government.
In the past day, Australia's e-Safety Commissioner has told the World Economic Forum that online free speech will have to be recalibrated.
This is only the beginning. It will get worse.

You are spot on George. My family are unvaccinated and we are still in lockdown, can’t fly, can’t cruise. When will this end?? None of us has caught Covid. All the fully vaccinated people we know are sick 😳. Still they push vaccines, a crime on children. Do your research everyone, don’t listen to the lies from uneducated politicians.

I was a long term Liberal Party member but left when Malcolm undermined Tony & the final straw was Scomo & Hunt selling us out to Big Pharma & abetting the Premiers to remove ALL our democratic rights, particularly via vaccine mandates. Then finally going to Glasgow & hobnobbing with the elites, particularly airhead Prince Charles & agreeing to "net Zero." Fighting the GW zealots had kept the LNP in power since Tony won in 2013 so that removed their last major point of difference with the LabGreens.
