Aussies, say NO to racism in your Constitution!

Here’s an important message I sent out to CitizenGO members earlier today:
The so-called ‘Indigenous Voice to Parliament’ is a dangerous change to our constitution that threatens to divide our country along racial lines.
This powerful body would have the power to review every law and policy in the country, creating confusion and wasting taxpayers’ money without improving the lives of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Australians.
The proposal to effectively set up a race-based chamber could upset the nation’s democratic balance and it may also pave the way for taxpayer-funded reparations and a treaty.
Pledge now to vote against ‘the Voice’ and say NO to racism in the Australian Constitution:
I pledge to stand against racism in the Australian Constitution and vote NO to the Indigenous Voice to Parliament.
I firmly believe that ‘the Voice’ is racist, confusing, and a wasteful use of taxpayers' money, that will drive Australians apart, not bring them together.
By signing this pledge, I commit to protecting Australia's national unity, and upholding our shared values of fairness and equality for all under the law.
I will note NO to ‘the Voice’ and encourage others to also vote NO in the upcoming referendum.
The Australian Government is proposing a dangerous change to the Australian Constitution, establishing what they call ‘the Indigenous Voice to Parliament’.
Don't be fooled by the name! This proposal is nothing more than a wrecking ball to our constitution that will divide Australia along racial lines. It’s racist, it’s confusing, and it will be waste of your tax dollars.
The proposal will establish a race-based constitutional body that will review every law and policy affecting indigenous Australians. And as nearly all laws and policies affect indigenous Australians to some extent, the reality is that ‘the Voice’ will be extremely powerful, having the remit to review every law and policy in our country.

‘The Voice’ proposal is racist, confusing, and a waste of taxpayers' money.
Firstly, ‘the Voice’ will enable a special constitutional group to be set up that is based on race. This is unacceptable in a country that prides itself on being egalitarian and fair.
Secondly, there is no consensus as to what actual powers ‘the Voice’ will have and how it will affect the nation. This is confusing and dangerous.
Thirdly, the race-based members selected or elected to ‘the Voice’ and their staff will be paid a lot of money, but this will not improve the lives of Indigenous Australians one iota. This is a waste of taxpayers' money.
But that's not the end of the bad news coming from ‘the Voice’.
Some indigenous activists have suggested that ‘the Voice’ will pave the way for taxpayer-funded compensation to Indigenous people for so-called ‘reparations’. This is a slippery slope that will only divide our country further.
Furthermore, ‘the Voice’ could upset the delicate balance of Australian democracy. This proposal will fundamentally alter the Australian nation for the worse.
We cannot let this happen. We must stand together and say NO to racism in the Australian Constitution.
Take the pledge now to vote against ‘the Voice’ or our country could be torn apart!
