If you ever had the gut feeling that Big Tech platforms like Facebook were deliberately being restrictive of Christian and conservative content, it wasn’t wrong.
About three weeks ago, an American journalist posted about his recent ordeal of Facebook removing a post he made, flagging it as ‘hate speech.’
Facebook also told him that if he makes the same mistake again, his “account may be restricted or disabled.”
What did the post read? Find out by reading on.
Facebook has been censoring and restricting Christian and conservative content, with users reporting their posts being flagged as “hate speech”.
Instances include the removal of a post stating “Jesus died so you could live” and, ironically, the banning of a Hungarian church group’s campaign about the persecution of Christians.
It is clear that Facebook is biased against Christian content while allowing graphic content from Islamist groups to remain on the platform.
Many Christian blog sites have also been removed without a clear explanation or an appeal process.
Christians and conservatives should migrate away from Facebook and other liberal platforms to alternatives that promote freedom of speech and religious expression.
The post that got Mark Zuckerberg and company all riled up was a simple statement that underpins the Christian faith:
Jesus died so you could live.
Now you tell me what exactly ‘hateful’ is about this sentence that Facebook felt the need to censor it, and warn the poster?
One could make the excuse of it being an isolated case resulting from an error in Facebook’s auto-moderation algorithms.
However, it isn’t.
Many others have also reported the platform deliberately censoring or suppressing Christian content.
In a completely ironic case from late last year, Facebook banned the Ecumenical Council of the Hungarian Churches from promoting a campaign about the contemporary persecution of Christians, with the excuse given its content “did not correspond to the spirit of the advertising platform.”
The Hungarian Reformed Church’s Pastor László Köntös said at the time:
While the Western mainstream liberal lobby is going on about ‘values’, ‘publicity’, and ‘freedoms’ from one side, it is easy to make it possible for one of the most effective social media platforms, which influences millions of people, to block the advertisements of an official church organisation.
Not that this is all a new phenomenon either.
In a similar instance from five years ago, an advertisement by a Catholic university was rejected by Facebook, because it apparently did not meet its standards.
The advertisement was simply a picture of a cross in commemoration of Easter.
And yet it seems that graphic content by ISIS and other terrorist outfits yelling “death to infidels” is fine and fully complies with Facebook’s community standards.
As a matter of fact, Facebook ‘auto-created’ landing pages for such Islamist terror groups to promote their violent message.
Further examples of blatant discrimination include Facebook’s censorship of various Christian blog sites.
Many of them have been removed and the accounts of posters disabled without a clear explanation and no appeal process.
Facebook has also been censoring posts that go against its liberal agenda.
Anne Paulk, the president of Restored Hope Network, reported that the platform removed their posts about men and women who were once part of the LGBT movement and now follow Jesus.
Facebook claimed these posts were promoting ‘conversion therapy.’
Paulk said:
I find that to be deeply troubling and deeply concerning regarding freedom of speech across the world stage on the largest platform that exists on social media with 2 billion users. They're trying to shut down voices that they simply disagree with.
It seems the devilish censorship of Big Tech knows no bounds.
And I’m not immune either.
My own Facebook account has been shadow-banned in an extreme way, with my post last year getting a reach into the thousands, tens of thousands and sometimes hundreds of thousands, yet now barely scraping into the hundreds.
To be frank, it’s almost not worth updating.
My advice is for my fellow Christians to plan for a migration out of Facebook and other liberal platforms entirely.
They promote immorality and toxicity and suppress religion and freedom of speech.
There are plenty of better alternatives out there and once the silent majority leaves these platforms, these tech giants will suddenly find themselves in the red and out of business.
Good riddance to them!
Until next time, God bless you, your family and nation.
Take care,

I stopped using Facebook ages ago Still use Instagram but not much It's all about divide and conquer. Get you fighting each other while they continue with their plans If you don't look at Facebook you won't see the ISIS comments Time for people to stick together to defeat them rather than fight each other
Imagine simply by action, saying this far and no further to - Facebook . Imagine that we are not their slaves - unless of course we believe we are.
