In Mackay? Support Assange?
The local cinema is showing a great documentary on the plight of Julian Assange.
Dear friend,
If you live in the Mackay region, I’ve got good news.
A new documentary titled The Trust Fall, which focuses on the plight of imprisoned Australian journalist and whistleblower Julian Assange is being screened at Mount Pleasant Event Cinemas over three nights in the coming week: 6.45pm Wednesday 6 March; 3.30pm Saturday 9 March; and 3.30pm Sunday 10 March.
I will attend both the Wednesday and Sunday screenings for a brief question and answer session after the documentary is screened.
You may recall that when I was a Federal Member of Parliament, I served as co-chairman of the Bring Julian Assange Home Parliamentary Group and, more importantly, I visited Julian Assange in Belmarsh Prison for a welfare check in January 2020.
I subsequently put forward a bill that would have made it unlawful for any head of government or head of state to imprison Julian Assange and other journalists in his situation. It was an attempt to get the case of this man on the radar of the Australian Government.
Thankfully, more and more people — from both the left and the right — are coming to the conclusion that Assange’s imprisonment and the trumped-up espionage charges against him are unjust.
Hopefully this documentary will open people’s eyes even further.
The documentary is being screened at Event Cinemas right across the nation. You can check to see if your local cinema is included by clicking the button below.
An update: As you may already know, regular editions of Nation First have been suspended while I campaign for election to Mackay Regional Council. Regular Monday to Friday editions of Nation First will resume on 18 March. Until then, all paid subscriptions have been paused, which effectively means that if you’re a paid subscriber, your subscription has been extended for the duration of this lull in activity. No new paid subscriptions can be taken out during this time.
Until next time, God bless you, your family and nation.
Take care,
George Christensen

Great work , George
Hey George, praying for your success at the upcoming election.
Fallen Victoria is of course NOT showing this film at all!
Such ignorant, deceived, woke paranoia.
They lumped their disgusting Palestinian marches into Julian's Campaign and I called them out on it.
You GO with God, my friend and Bro in Christ.
