Dear friend,
As we countdown the hours until Christmas, it is good to remember that the day is special because it celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, a pivotal moment that forever changed the course of history.
His arrival was a divine intervention in a world plagued by tyranny and oppression, sadly much like it is today.
There are stark parallels between the era in which Jesus was born and our present era, with our struggles against increasing government overreach, erosions of freedom, and the unsettling rise of globalist elite agendas.
Two thousand years ago, in Bethlehem, a Child was born into a world where oppressive regimes and loss of individual liberties were rampant.
His birth, in the humblest of settings, was a powerful testament to the triumph of hope and faith over despotism and despair.
This narrative should resonate deeply with us, especially now, in the aftermath of moves that undermined our fundamental rights (e.g lockdowns, mask mandates and vaccine mandates), and with the alarming globalist elite push for population control, digital identity systems, central bank digital currencies, and political censorship under the guise of combating ‘misinformation’.
Christ’s teachings, centred on love of God and others, and also on mercy, justice, and freedom.
Such teachings challenge the authoritarian tendencies that we increasingly observe today just as they did in His time on Earth.
While Christ was not a militaristic messiah, He certainly stood up to the powers of that time.
His declaration of divinity to the Sanhedrin, His silence in the face of Herod’s demands, and His indication to Pilate that he was a king, not of this world, who was sent to bear witness to the truth, all paint a picture of a Man who was not scared about standing up to and confronting authority.
And ultimately, He stood up to the power of this world — Satan — and not only rejected his temptations but defeated him by defeating death itself.
Following news of Jesus’ conception, Mary sang a song of praise in which she declared that the Lord has cast down the mighty from their thrones and lifted up the lowly.
This, indeed, was part of Christ’s mission on Earth, and still is.
So this Christmas, let us draw inspiration from Christ’s defiance of the tyrants of His time.
We must stand firm in our convictions, not only to celebrate the joy of His birth but also to confront the growing shadows of tyranny in our world.
The Nativity story is not just a tale of hope but a powerful reminder that tyranny, no matter how powerful, can and must be challenged.
As we honour the birth of Jesus, let us also ignite a renewed commitment to fighting for a world where freedom reigns supreme.
This Christmas, may our celebration be a bold statement of our unwavering resolve to defend our liberties and a clarion call to resist the forces that threaten to undermine them.
And most importantly, may it be a reminder that ultimately Christ will triumph over all of these forces of darkness
May this festive season empower you with the courage to speak out, the strength to stand firm, and the faith to believe in a future where freedom and truth triumph.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Nation First will return on Monday, 8 January 2023.
Until next time, God bless you, your family and nation.

Merry Christmas to everyone. The insanity in the world won't stop until the Second Coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I don't think it's going to be pretty, but I can't wait. God Bless everyone.
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones, George. My ‘mantra’ these days is that every day those of us who await His second coming are one day closer to that reality. Maranatha!
