In the past year, the citizens of Spain have seen electricity price rises of 200% or more.
Then there’s out-of-control fuel prices which have been blamed on Russia despite actions from the Biden Administration having a disastrous impact on oil production.
What’s driven all of this?
You might say ‘climate change’ policies and you’d be superficially right, but behind that fig leaf is the real answer which is as it always is when it comes to politics: control and money.

From Leonardo De Caprio to Bill Gates to Klaus Schwab, all the globalist elites have two things in common: one, telling the common people how they are terrible for the environment, and second, doing so while flying in their personal jets or cruising in mega-yachts.
For people who advocate so much about environmentalism, you would think that they could at least care about how their own actions and lifestyle disproportionately have an impact on it.
Here is the truth: they don’t actually care.
Like so many other seemingly good causes they preach about, this is just a smokescreen for their real agendas.
As aforementioned, the first and most obvious agenda has to do with control.
By saying to the ordinary people that their lifestyle is hurting the environment, they can garner approval for a whole host of policies, taxation, and regulations on people.
For instance, the pledge to the United Nations by the new Labor Government in Australia to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 43% within 8 years will result in a raft of taxes and cost imposts on everyday Australians.
While the government might claim that the burden will be borne by so-called ‘big polluters’, the reality will be that major corporations (including electricity providers) that are hit by these imposts will simply pass the pain on to their beholden customers rather than their institutional investors, with research showing that the “carbon regulation burden” often hits those who can least afford it.
Part of the globalist plan to deal with so-called ‘climate change’ is depopulation. I have written about this previously.
If you manage to convince people that their very existence is harmful to the environment, you have effectively convinced them to not have children.
News flash: having children doesn’t harm the planet. Even climate alarmists concede that point.
The reality is that the same so-called ‘elite’ scaring us into a childless existence are the biggest carbon “polluters” themselves.
The globalists also use ‘climate change’ to push for more unaccountable and dictatorial global governance.
The other key motive behind the ‘climate change’ push is making money.
Do you ever wonder why major corporations, institutional investment firms and big banks have gone all woke over ‘climate change’? It’s because they’re profiting from it.
With the new Australian government elected with a radical ‘climate change’ policy agenda, the price of carbon credits soared.
I recall watching a documentary about a decade ago titled ‘Carbon Hunters’ which was sympathetic to the climate change scam but at the same time exposed the outcome of crazy carbon schemes such as carbon traders reaping in big bucks to do mass replacement of diesel power water pumps on farms in India with foot-powered pumps that they manned with poor Indian women paying them peanuts for the all-day effort.
The money-making aspect of ‘climate change’ was pushed by Maurice Strong, an evil man if you’ve ever heard of one.
But while the globalists get rich and accumulate more power, you will get poorer and your power may now go out.
Don’t fret though. Apparently, you’re suffering for the planet.
