What Meloni's win in Italy means for Europe

Nation First looks into the implications of the election of Giorgio Meloni as Prime Minister of Italy.

Despite the media branding Giorgia Meloni a ‘neo-fascist,’ despite the globalists attempting to undermine her, and even despite active coercion by the European Union (EU) to discourage people from voting for her, democracy in Italy still prevailed.

Meloni, leader of the right wing populist Brothers of Italy Party, is going to be the first female Prime Minister in the country’s history.

She is opposed to the globalists, is now against draconian COVID measures and supports a culture of life as opposed to a culture of death.

The election results clearly show that everyday Italians are no longer willing to see their freedom and prosperity wither at the hands of the globalist ‘elite’, the World Economic Forum types and assorted EU sycophants.

Forming a coalition with the conservative political party Forza Italia, Meloni enjoys a secure majority in the Italian government, allowing her to pass much-needed reforms that would wrestle the country’s sovereignty away from the corrupt bureaucrats of the EU and back to Italian citizens.

While, concerningly, Meloni was once a supporter of vaccine passports and has had ties to the globalist ‘elite’ Aspen Institute, in more recent times she and her party have been criticised as being ‘anti-vax’ for rightly describing vaccine passports as Orwellian and opposing many COVID restrictions.

Her new government is now preparing to roll back Italy’s remaining draconian COVID measures, with Meloni’s health spokesman saying that “there should be no more obligation to vaccinate” and indicating an end to ongoing COVID vaccination programs for the entire Italian populace.

More so, Meloni appears to declaring a war against the globalist ‘elites’ and their Great Reset program.

In a recent speech, she seemingly pushed back against the radical LGBTIQ agenda, digital identity, depopulation and abortion, and, most importantly, the financial speculators who seek to enslave us all:

Why is the family an enemy? Why is the family so frightening? There is a single answer to all these questions. Because it defines us. Because it is our identity. Because everything that defines us is now an enemy for those who would like us to no longer have an identity and to simply be perfect consumer slaves. And so they attack national identity, they attack religious identity, they attack gender identity, they attack family identity. 

I can’t define myself as Italian, Christian, woman, mother. No. I must be citizen x, gender x, parent 1, parent 2. I must be a number. Because when I am only a number, when I no longer have an identity or roots, then I will be the perfect slave at the mercy of financial speculators. The perfect consumer.

That’s why we inspire so much fear. That’s why this event inspires so much fear. Because we do not want to be numbers. We will defend the value of the human being. Every single human being. Because each of us has a unique genetic code that is unrepeatable. And like it or not, that is sacred. We will defend it. We will defend God, country and family. Those things that disgust people so much. We will do it to defend our freedom because we will never be slaves and simple consumers at the mercy of financial speculators. This is our mission.

Chesterton wrote “Fires will be kindled to testify that two and two make four. Swords will be drawn to prove that leaves are green in summer.” That time has arrived.

Meloni’s victory would also address one of the prime but largely neglected issues plaguing the country — illegal migration.

Europe has been largely ill-equipped to handle mass migration and ‘open border’ policies have deliberately pushed by globalist ‘elites’ like George Soros that erode social cohesion, weaken national identity, increase political instability, and increase levels of violent crime.

Ultimately, those policies will lead to the demographic transformation of Europe.

Migration isn’t bad per se, but the people you bring in to your country should actually have the means and wherewithal to integrate and contribute to your society and economy.

Italy also has long been a major gateway for illegal economic migrants to move into the rest of Europe.

With Meloni’s government, this may not remain the case for long.

In addition, her victory will likely empower the populist bloc in the rest of the EU and it is likely we might see more populist governments emerge, particularly in places such as Greece, Norway, and Spain.

We have already seen a similar victory emerge for right wing populists in Sweden.

Thus, we could see greater concession from the EU center as the globalist faction feel no longer secure in their hold over Europe.

Proposed treaties such as the expansion of majority voting in more EU-wide policies could even be shelved outright due to a growing lack of support.

There is also hope that conflict between Ukraine and Russia, directly caused and escalated by the globalist bloc, may lower in intensity or even end, as the ‘elites’ feel their power is being challenged at the home front and so backtrack on continuing to pour weapons into the region.

However, in some areas, Meloni’s government will likely be heavily constrained, particularly when it comes to fiscal policy.

The servicing of Italy’s massive debt (150 percent of its GDP) leaves little room for any drastic fiscal reform.

Move over, the government might even have no other option but to continue most of the previous government’s economic policies to avoid the risk of losing access to the €192 billion from the EU recovery fund the country is entitled.

All in all, her government is bound to face many challenges, the same challenges the rest of the world is also facing primarily due to the actions of the globalist ‘elite’: rising cost of living, an impending recession, inflation, and food shortages.

All of this would prompt difficult decisions needing to be made.

Nevertheless, if Meloni’s government manages to survive the incoming storm intact, it would set the stage for a disruptive political shift across the European continent.

Perhaps that shift will even spread to the rest of the West including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
