Here's 3 internet privacy tools for you
Nation First looks at practical methods in which citizens can protect themselves from Big Brother while online.
Dear friend,
Since Edward Snowden’s leak in 2013, the ability of governments to track online activity has greatly expanded.
Trackers and crawlers harvest data such as browser history, chats, emails, and time spent on web pages.
Powerful A.I. algorithms analyse this data to gain insights into individuals’ personalities and backgrounds.
Governments can potentially abuse this access to influence decisions and persecute individuals for ‘thought crimes’.
To safeguard digital privacy, one can use a combination of three applications: Virtual Machine (VM), The Onion Router (TOR), and Virtual Private Network (VPN). These tools help disguise identity, encrypt data, and provide anonymity online.
Almost a year ago, Nation First published an article titled ‘Say goodbye to your privacy’, in which we discussed the frightening overreach of government surveillance.
Since the time of former United States National Security Agency contractor-turned whistleblower Edward Snowden’s leak back in 2013, their ability to track your online activity has vastly expanded.
They can now even create perfect virtual copies of your personality to predict what your future actions might be.
This might sound unbelievable but they achieve this through trackers and crawlers that harvest all the data you leave… this includes your browser history, your chats, the comments you post, what you sent on your email, and even how much time you spent on a particular webpage.
All this is rich data that is crunched up by powerful artificial intelligence (A.I.) algorithms to give insights about you, your personality, and your background.
Governments can absolutely abuse this access to people’s confidential data to influence their decisions, curb dissents, and, as it is increasingly becoming apparent, persecute you for ‘thought crime.’
With that said, you are not powerless when it comes to safeguarding your digital privacy.
With just a bit of technical knowledge, you can thwart all but the most determined attempts by the government to monitor you online.
It involves a combination of three separate applications:
Virtual Machine (VM)
The Onion Router (TOR)
Virtual Private Network (VPN)
Let’s describe what each of these are in the simplest terms.
A virtual machine is a virtual computer you can install and run on your PC.
And just like a real Personal Computer (PC), you can install an Operating System (OS) within it as well as apps.
A VM helps disguise the real identity of your physical computer from being tracked.
In addition, any spyware or trackers that enter the VM would remain contained within it and not infest your physical computer.
And to absolutely make sure no organisation is able to pinpoint your identity through tracking your activity within the VM, you can always reset it.
TOR is a browser a lot of people might be already familiar with.
With it, you can put an invisibility cloak on what you are doing online.
And lastly, VPN, which encrypts all the data you send and receive online and disguises your IP address.
Taken together, this makes for a powerful means of evading most government surveillance.
However, there are some cautions you should take to make your anonymity foolproof.
If you are, say a whistleblower, or live where the government will persecute you for your opinion, consider using a burner email to create a fake social media account.
If you use your real email, it could completely blow your cover; a government agent could easily identify you by analyzing what the email is linked with (e.g., your bank, your phone, etc.).
Why do we share this information?
Because freedom of speech is sacred.
We, the people, must do everything we can to safeguard it.
Share this article with others and help educate them on how to evade the pervasive eye of Big Brother.
Until next time, God bless you, your family and nation.
Take care,

I think they are way ahead of anything. I have maps app on my phone. I received a monthly report as to trips I made the prior month. Which was. You made 33 trips last month. 30 in your car and 3 on your motorcycle. Now I live in a mid western country town. How did they know my mode of transport??
Great ideas. But I'm not a tech. Hmmm....
