Thanks for your kind comment. Yes, we have a deceitful govt and incompetent for us but very competent for their corporate masters. World affairs are indeed complex and incredibly so depending on how far you want to go down particular rabbit holes. However they can be summed up relatively simply and with a few guidelines you can pretty much get an idea of what is going on with a particular issue and judge accordingly. Firstly most countries especially those in the west are run by huge corporate interests that span countries and have no allegiance to any particular country although many tend to base themselves in low tax countries or tax havens. These include the finance, arms and manufacturing industries, health care, media and tech giants etc. They wield enormous power because of their wealth and therefore are able to buy politicians to do their will. This is useful as these politicians pass legislation that benefit these corporate interests. In return they are rewarded. If they don’t play the game they are ousted by the media giants digging up dirt on them or manufacturing some if none exists.
The aim of the rich and powerful who run and own these corporations is to obtain ever more wealth, power and privilege. Many if not most of the rich are either psychopaths or have strong sociopathic traits and will not hesitate to do what it takes to get more of what they want even if it means invading other countries to steal their resources and killing people by the millions. George is quite right in attacking the unaccountable entities of the psychopaths.

I watched the video and while a lot was hard to understand it seemed like the usual religious ranting – god, allah whatever is on our side and we will be victorious over our enemies etc etc but no worse than some of the extreme right wing evangelist ranting that you find in the USA – but nobody gets hysterical over that. Thanks for your kind comment. Yes, we have a deceitful govt and incompetent for us but very competent for their corporate masters. World affairs are indeed complex and incredibly so depending on how far you want to go down particular rabbit holes. However they can be summed up relatively simply and with a few guidelines you can pretty much get an idea of what is going on with a particular issue and judge accordingly. Firstly most countries especially those in the west are run by huge corporate interests that span countries and have no allegiance to any particular country although many tend to base themselves in low tax countries or tax havens. These include the finance, arms and manufacturing industries, health care, media and tech giants etc. They wield enormous power because of their wealth and therefore are able to buy politicians to do their will. This is useful as these politicians pass legislation that benefit these corporate interests. In return they are rewarded. If they don’t play the game they are ousted by the media giants digging up dirt on them or manufacturing some if none exists.
The aim of the rich and powerful who run and own these corporations is to obtain ever more wealth, power and privilege. Many if not most of the rich are either psychopaths or have strong sociopathic traits and will not hesitate to do what it takes to get more of what they want even if it means invading other countries to steal their resources and killing people by the millions. George is quite right in attacking the unaccountable entities of the psychopaths.
The USA is probably the most extreme example of this currently. I have mentioned in my previous post how Israel is the USA’s attack dog to look after US interests in the Middle East. The US and its British and French predecessors have made the Middle East the quagmire it is today. The USA wants to rule the world militarily, politically and economically (what they call “full spectrum dominance”) and like a psychopath will become enraged and vicious to the point of insanity if it is denied. The war in Ukraine and the growing trouble in the South China sea are examples of this and could lead us to WW3. Russia is doing quite well now and has recovered from the fall of the Soviet Union ( which the USA helped engineer) and is advanced militarily. Therefore it is a competitor to the US and must be crushed. The US (and NATO) engineered a coup in Ukraine with the intent of moving US military might right up to Russia’s border and provoking a war with Russia using Ukraine as a proxy and cannon fodder so that US soldiers don’t come home in body bags and rile up the population. They were hoping that the war would collapse the Russian economy, people would fall on hard times and get fed with Putin and the US would then engineer a pro US president to be elected. However it didn’t work out like that and Russia is winning the war.
China is likely to overtake the US economy over the next few years and is winning many countries, especially third world countries over to its “Belt and Road” projects because China is not ripping them off like the west with the West’s extortionate World Bank loans etc. Locally they are offering a far better deal to the Soloman Islands than Australia who has been treating it with contempt and exploiting their resources. This is enraging “our” capitalists which is why there is all this anti-China propaganda in the media. Here is where I totally disagree with George, China is not a threat, we in the west are a threat to China and apart from a brief war with Vietnam in the 70’s (I think) AFAIK China has never displayed aggression to any foreign country in its 5000 year plus history. In fact it has been invaded and occupied multiple times. Compare that to the US. The trouble in the South China Sea is caused by the US and it’s lackeys including Australia. Australian capitalists will also be hoping to profit if China falls hence the continual anti China rhetoric in the media. What the public has missed out on is the background to the reasons why first the nation Israel exists. UN Resolution 181. Second, why "Palestinians" became refugees.
