Clive Palmer, Bob Katter, Pauline Hanson, Ralph Babet and Lyle Shelton could be requested to form one conservative Australia Party over the next year. Sorry but the process offered has security flaws that would leave people vulnerable to discovery. That is not acceptable.
1. All traffic via an ISP in Australia is captured and must be held by that ISP for two years to permit investigation where warranted. Whether it is encrypted or not.
2. Proton mail messages between proton mail users are end to end encrypted.
3. Emails from proton users to non proton users have end to end encryption only if the sender uses the 'Password-protected emails feature. I would not want a reply for security reasons, not even a thank you.
4. (Danger) Emails from non proton users to proton users unless protected with PGP, the email is not end to end encrypted. and might be accessible by the users mail service or other entities on the mail path and handed over.
I would suggest George you create and make available a proton mail public PGP Key to ensure anyone can send encrypted correspondence whether using Proton or not.
5. Do not just rely on a VPN as your only security. Use the following resources along with the VPN and PGP. Read up on security for journalists and people in hostile countries, because that is what this place is now.
4. Do not use your own device, get a cheap second hand laptop off market place. It does not need gigs of ram or a large hard disk in fact I would remove the hard disk completely because you will only use TAILS. It will need WiFi.
5. Set up TAILS with the information for dropping on the flash drive and then sanitise the info from your home system, using a 'secure delete' tool, Some anti virus has this ability or download a tool for it.
6. Set up Proton VPN via Tails and a single free burner email account that once you have disclosed, you will then burn it by shutting it down.
7. Do not connect the VPN to a server in Australia, go via a third world country in the server list, Azerbaijan or Argentina or grubbier. Avoid any country in the five eyes or NATO and countries hostile to the west, China, Iran, Russia, Yemen.
You need to make an informed decision.
